Schaumburg, Ill. - 9/27/07 - A New Zealand veterinary institution has gained full accreditation from the American Veterinary Medical Association accrediting arm, the Council on Education (COE).
Massey University's Institute of Animal, Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences joins 40 other veterinary medical programs accredited by COE worldwide. All of the United State's 28 veterinary medical programs have earned the distinction.
Such merit means Massey-graduated veterinarians can practice in the United States without first receiving additional education. The Massey veterinary program earned limited accreditation from COE in 2002, officials say.
