Veterinary practices in the early stages of growth need to do a few things to build up a client base that they want, says Robin Brogdon, MA, owner and president of BluePrints Veterinary Marketing Group.
It's very important for a new practice to look at who are they, what they want to focus on, what things they can do that will differentiate them from other practices and then what types of pet owners fit in with that. Brogdon says tale a look at what geographic region you should open your practice in — find an area in the marketplace that is not being served well. You have to target your audience where they are, and then go where they are, she says.
