SIGNALMENT:
9 year old spayed female DSH
History:
Felicia is coming in today because the owner has noticed that she seems to be acting hungry all the time and has lost weight. No vomiting or diarrhea has been noted. Unsure of water intake.
She is an indoor kitty, 1 other cat in the house who is also strictly indoors and is not showing any clinical problems.
There is no previous history of illness and she is not on any medications.
Both cats eat a commercial senior diet.
Physical examination:
BAR, T- 101.2 C, P – 200, RR – purring
Oral exam – gums pale pink, moderate dental disease
Unkempt coat
BCS 4/9, has lost 2 pounds since last visit one year ago
Rest of physical is unremarkable
