Philippa Pavia, VMD, DACVS-SA: There is really good research surrounding acupuncture and other rehab modalities—they just have to be done well. [Acupuncture] has to be done by someone who [has] really good training, otherwise, you're kind of just sticking needles in skin. But, I do believe that acupuncture is helpful and we know that from a lot of research—not just in dogs and cats—but also [in] horses and people.
