Painting with a Twist and Dogtopia team up to host fundraising events for veterans and their service animals
Painting with a Twist, a paint and sip company, and Dogtopia, a dog daycare franchise, are joining forces to raise proceeds for the Dogtopia Foundation in order to train service dogs for U.S. Military Veterans. Announced in a company release,1 Painting with a Twist and Dogtopia created “Paint Your Pet” events at participating Painting with a Twist locations to celebrate National Service Dog Month in September.
According to the release, Painting with a Twist will donate 50% of the proceeds from participating Paint Your Pet events to the Dogtopia Foundation, which creates funding programs focused on providing aid to veterans with or in need of service dogs. The foundation also contributes to improving youth literacy programs and employment initiatives for adults with autism. The Dogtopia Foundation has raised money to help sponsor 196 service dogs since the 501(c)3 nonprofit organization was established in 2017.1
"Sponsoring service dogs for our veterans is a cause that is near and dear to our hearts, and together, Dogtopia and participating Painting with a Twist locations are looking forward to making a difference in the lives of our nation's heroes," said Liz Meyers, executive director of the Dogtopia Foundation in the release. "We believe this partnership will resonate with communities across the country and provide an opportunity for people to come together for a fun, interactive experience, where they can show their much-needed support for men and women of the U.S. Military."1
