Encourage your clients to have their pets microchipped on April 3.
One day isn't enough. That's why the American Humane Association has deemed April 3 Every Day is Tag Day in an effort to educate pet owners about the importance of microchipping. According to the group, only about 15 percent of dogs and 2 percent of cats without an ID tag or microchip are reunited with their owners.
So how will you celebrate? Talk to your clients, hang signage in your practice, and do whatever it takes to spread the word. Your efforts might help reunite a lost pet with its owner some day-and keep clients coming back to your practice to show their appreciation.
