Critter Fixers open new Petsmart Veterinary Services Hospital

Vernard Hodges, DVM, and Terrence Ferguson, DVM, cofounders of Critter Fixers Veterinary Hospitals and costars of the NatGeo show Critter Fixers: Country Vets, announced today they opened a veterinary hospital within Petsmart store in Smyrna, Georiga. Located at 2540 Cumberland Blvd, SE, the PetSmart Veterinary Services (PVS) hospital is now accepting patients.

"As a veterinarian for 25 years, this isn't something I ever imagined," expressed Hodges, in an organizational release.¹ "I'm especially passionate about working with PVS because investment is a huge barrier to owning a practice. According to the release,¹ the location's primary practicing veterinarian will be Paul Norwood, DVM, who graduated with Hodges and Ferguson from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine. The new hospital will serve dogs, cats, and exotics such as reptiles, birds, and small animals. The hospital will provide multiple services including preventative and critical care, vaccinations, dental cleanings, spay/neuter services, and more.

The grand opening celebrating the hospital will be on Saturday, June 17, 2023, from 11 AM to 4 PM. The first 50 attendees will receive a $10 PetSmart gift card and then the first 25 pets will receive a free dental evaluation.¹
