GAINESVILLE, Fla. - 8/8/05 - Dr. Joseph DiPietro, dean of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, was appointed to the National Commission on Veterinary Economic Issues (NCVEI) Board of Directors.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - 8/8/05 - Dr. Joseph DiPietro, dean of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, was appointed to the National Commission on Veterinary Economic Issues (NCVEI) Board of Directors.
DiPietro is president of the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges and a member of the National Agricultural Research, Extension, Education and Economics advisory board.
The NCVEI's goals include creating a secure future for the veterinary profession, establishing a clear criteria for measuring its own impact and promoting the critical importance of the profession to all audiences.
DiPietro has also been selected to participate in the 2005 Food Systems Leadership Institute (FSLI).
"Our nation's food systems are critical to the highest standard of living we enjoy in this country," says Ken Swartzel, the institute's director. "We are welcoming an excellent group of leaders in the FSLI program."
