IAADP President gives thanks to all those who contribute to the animal-human bond.
"Five Ways to Give Back" (October 2008) struck a chord since I'm frequently approaching those in the animal healthcare community for support. I'm president of the International Association of Assistance Dog Partners (http://www.iaadp.org), a consumer advocacy group with more than 2,100 disabled members who work with guide, hearing, and service dogs. It's my job to contact individuals and companies, soliciting their charitable dollars to help maintain the partnership between people with disabilities and their canine assistants.

Luckily, many recognize the significance of this human-animal bond and support these efforts. I want to thank everyone who contributes to the cause.
