Dr. Beaver opposes ban on horse processing

The past-president of the AVMA says, "The legislation doesn't address the financial support required to care for the horses given up by their owners. The legislation also does not address the disposal of more than 90,000 horse carcasses if horse slaughter is banned." Despite her efforts and those of other groups, H.R.503 passed in September and will now go to the Senate.
