Dr. Marty Pets expands with new production facility

Dr. Marty Pets, a supplier of freeze-dried raw dog and cat food and dietary supplements, announced it a new facility for product production efficiency. The Golden Pet Manufacturing facility in Richfield, Wisconsin, will create a robust supply chain for the company.

The new facility will be run under Golden Hippo, a Dr. Marty Pets’ affiliate, and will create 140 new jobs within the region and nationally. According to an organizational release,1 new features of the production facility include the following:

  • High-efficiency boilers and water heaters
  • Technologically advanced high pressure plunger pumps for 15% energy reduction
  • New recycling programs
  • Sending inedible products to a rendering company for reuse

This new facility will also help Dr. Marty Pets monitor the quality of ingredients as well as source raw ingredients. According to the organizational release, this new plan will help increase production to fulfill the high demand for the company’s best-selling products.

"This gives us the opportunity to trace raw ingredients, improve upon our already high-quality control and create a better sustainability story for our food products," said Dan Markenson, head of retail for Dr. Marty Pets, in the release.1 "Our retail partners are excited about our ability to continue our great level of service as we rapidly grow our business with them."
