A delicious recipe for a super-healthy drink
1/4 cup frozen unsweetened blueberries
1/2 cup frozen unsweetened strawberries
1/4 cup frozen unsweetened cherries
1/2 banana
1/2 cup unsweetened low-fat plain yogurt or kefir
A handful of spinach
Flax oil
Water to blend
A pinch or two of stevia
This makes about two servings. Sometimes Dr. Ward substitutes unsweetened soy milk for the water to blend, and he uses whatever frozen fruit he has on hand-sometimes only blueberries and strawberries. If you want more calories and calcium, milk does make it creamier. He has occasionally used kale and lettuce instead of spinach, but you'll only do that once, Dr. Ward says. Chocolate soy milk with strawberries and bananas is really good, too.
