Article

Heres our weekly rundown of new and notable veterinary products.

Walkin' Pets

Wheelchairs for smaller breeds

Walkin' Pets has introduced its latest innovation in the pet wheelchair business: the MINI Walkin' Wheels for disabled or injured pets of smaller proportions. The fully adjustable wheelchair accommodates toy dog breeds, cats and other small animals weighing from to 10 lbs. The MINI Walkin' Wheels is simple to use and has the adjustability to find the right fit quick and easy. Veterinarians and pet owners who place orders only need to supply two measurements along with the pet's weight and breed/species, making the whole process a walk-er, roll-in the park.

Dechra

Dermatological mousse

In a recent launch, Dechra Veterinary Products added its two most popular formulas, MiconaHex+Triz and TrizCHLOR 4, in easy-to-use mousse formulations to its dermatology product offerings. The mousses are available in 7.1-fluid-oz pump dispensers. MiconaHex+Triz Mousse contains 2 percent chlorhexidine, 2 percent miconazole, TrizEDTA and Dechra's ceramide complex. TrizCHLOR 4 contains 4 percent chlorhexidine and TrizEDTA. Neither contains alcohol, so they're non-irritating to ulcerated or abraded skin. Both products are labeled for dogs, cats and horses.

Nutramax

Economy-sized joint supplement for cats and dogs

Nutramax is launching new economy-sized versions of packaging for its latest joint health supplement, Dasuqin Advanced. The new, not-for-internet-resale packaging features four 140-count consumer units, all in one compact dispensing carton. This initiative is the latest step in the company's ongoing commitment to support in-clinic veterinary sales. The new 140-count units will be available as soft chews for large dogs and chewable tablet formulations for small-to-medium and large dogs.
