The economy tops the issues influencing how veterinarians will vote this year, according to 66 percent of vets polled in an exclusive DVM Newsmagazine survey.
Seventy-one percent say they are extremely/very concerned about the state of the U.S. economy. In fact, most are saying the economy is having a negative effect on clients' willingness to seek veterinary care.
But the economy isn't the only issue that is influencing how veterinarians will vote.
The war in Iraq is a determining factor for 40 percent of them, health care for 37 percent, while taxes and high gas prices are issues for 35 and 33 percent.
