In this episode of The Vet Blast Podcast, Jove Jacob shares with Dr Adam Christman about what veterinary school is like in his country, plus discusses his interests in the field and more.
On this episode of The Vet Blast Podcast, fourth-year veterinary student Jove Jaco from the Apollo College of Veterinary Medicine, Jaipur in India and member of the dvm360® Student Ambassador Program, explained how high school students in India get accepted into veterinary school.
“As a pre-vet student, we have central examinations that are...conducted by the National Board Examinations and based upon your marks first, based upon your ranks first, and based upon the friends of your college you are…allotted a college and that’s how you get into vet school,” Jacob told Adam Christman, DVM, MBA.
“After getting into vet school, the diversities start within the name itself. It’s BVSc AH—Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry in India and along with veterinary subjects, we also have animal husbandry subjects like livestock correction management,” he added.
