Interview Transcript (slightly modified for readability)
“We have seen insurance for cats and dogs grow significantly over the past ten years or so and we expect that to continue, and the reasons for that are that veterinarians are starting to get more confident in understanding the benefits that it has both for the pet’s health and for their practice’s financials. We see the pet owners getting more confident that the products that are out there are going to be there when they need them and the companies are providing more transparency and so, the pet owners really know what they’re getting and then it’s there for them.
Over time, you get more and more good stories and we have hundreds, thousands, of situations where we have really good stories that we can tell that the veterinarian got to see the policy in action, so they can take it back to pet owners and share their experiences, and so, the more there are positive experiences over time, that will drive just more and more adoption, and to some extent we have to overcome some of the history of not great experiences. So, the companies out there are really trying to provide great experiences for pet owners and for veterinarians.”
