Pet parents can unite and share stories, images, and more of their companion animal who have crossed over the rainbow bridge.
Morris Animal Foundation is offering a new online community—Furever Memorials—for individuals and families to commemorate and honor their loyal, beloved companion animals who have passed away.
According to an organizational release, pet owners can detail their pet's story along with their photos on Furever Memorials. They can also share the memorial on social media platforms, so their family and friends can comment, offer support, even donate in honor of the pet. Donations support animal health studies that accelerate the well-being of canines and felines worldwide.
Especially in recent years, pets have acquired more significant and emotional roles in human lives. Plus, they provide unconditional love, rely on their pet owners for their wellness, and accompany them when they are most vulnerable.
When a pet passes away, some owners may find the loss hard to navigate as their pet offered constant companionship. According to the release, memorializing a pet provides pet parents an opportunity to share in their grief and the community a chance to provide them support and potentially alleviate some of that grief.
