Our tub table works great for dentals, but is a problem for examining pets, since their nails often get stuck in the grate, or they get a grip to push away from a doctor or handler. To remedy this, we purchased a sheet of Plexiglas from a hardware store and cut it to fit on top of the grate. We cut a hole in one end to allow us to easily pick it up and to hang it on a hook when not in use. Now, we can handle pets more easily, and cleanup is quick and easy. One added benefit: Urine samples can be collected easily off the Plexiglas.
