Veterinary surgeon Dr. Jennifer Wardlaw says new research reveals that among the various gastropexy techniques available to prevent gastric dilatation-volvulus, or GDV, incisional gastropexies are strong enough to hold, even in those really big dogs. And laparoscopic-assisted gastropexies are a great, less-invasive way to safeguard dogs at risk.
