A snappy solution
A 3% hydrogen peroxide solution kills the odor from anal sacs. It also works on cat urine.

Minty fresh fur
Instead of perfume or cologne, we keep Scope mouthwash in a little squirt bottle. After expressing and wiping with waterless shampoo, we give the dog's bottom a minty fresh spritz.
