Introducing New Pets to Household Pets

Adam Parascandola, director of animal protection and crisis response for Humane Society International, gives advice on how to introduce new pets to the pets already established in the household.

He says the most important thing to remember is to take it slow. It's helpful to start the new pet in a small space where they can get comfortable first, and then let them adjust to the rest of the house. Use a cloth to introduce the pets to each other's scent, as well.
