Ames, Iowa -- The College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University has announced that it is consolidating three of its dean positions down to two in response to state budget reductions.

-- The College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University has announced that it is consolidating three of its dean positions down to two in response to state budget reductions.
Dr. Lisa Nolan, who has been serving as associate dean for student and academic affairs, will now become the associate dean for research and graduate studies, replacing Dr. James Bloedel. Bloedel has served in the position as an interim since August 2008. Dr. Eldon Uhlenhopp also is taking a new position. Having previously served as associate dean for academic and student affairs, assistant dean for external programs and most recently as associate dean for outreach and operations, Uhlenhopp now will become associate dean of academic and student affairs, outreach and operations.
The new roles, a consolidation of previous positions, took effect March 16.
