Sheila Lewis, CVT, Practice Manager Delavan Animal Clinic Delavan, Wis.
What's the wackiest question a client has ever asked you?
Can I get a distemper shot myself? I tell them no, though there are clients I wish I could give one to!
What's your biggest blunder?
Once a client visited the practice where I worked to pick up propylene glycol, and he inadvertently got a bottle of formaldehyde. He didn't check the label before he administered it, and he pickled his cow. I apologized, because I accidentally dispensed the wrong product, and the clinic paid for the cow. I'm still friends with the client to this day.
What's your favorite thing about your job?
I love the team I work with; the animals are an added bonus.
