Walter Brown, BS, RVTg, VTS (ECC): [National Veterinary Technician Week] means a lot to me. Vet Tech Week encompasses a lot of things: recognizing your staff, giving them the belonging, rewarding them throughout that week's time for the things they do. I believe that techs are superheroes.
I think we have a strong future for those who want to be veterinary technicians and those who are veterinary technicians...as far as utilization, we have VTS which is our veterinary technician specialist that can help those grow into the position of maybe dentistry, nutrition, internal medicine, critical care, and all the other different societies.
