Companies that want to conduct clinical trials need to do bigger trials earlier—taking a multi-institutional approach—instead of going directly to smaller studies that may not go anywhere. Also, researchers need to learn more about the molecular makeup of diseases and cancers to think about them in a more genetic sense to help drive treatments and clinical trials forward.
