-- The Louisiana State University (LSU) School of Veterinary Medicine is looking for dogs to participate in a new study about chronic renal disease in canines.
The study will examine the ability of a specific HMG CoA Reductase Inhibitor to slow the progression of the disease, according to the college. The study is being funded by the American Kennel Club (AKC) in collaboration with the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, the Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, Arizona Veterinary Specialists in Gilbert, Ariz., and Veterinary Specialists of South Florida in Cooper City, Fla.
LSU is seeking dogs with chronic kidney disease for the study, which will last for 12 months.
