BOSTON — Veterinarians might be excluded from compliance with the Massachusetts Prescription Monitoring Program if a proposed bill passes.
Senate Bill 2122, introduced Jan. 31, would exclude veterinarians from the definition of practitioner as it applies to those who must comply with the prescription-monitoring program for controlled substances.
The bill has been sent to the Senate Ways and Means Committee for consideration.
