Meet Niccole Bruno, DVM

In honor of Black History Month, dvm360^® sat down with BLEND founder and chief executive officer Niccole Bruno, DVM, to learn more about her and what inspired her to create BLEND during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Niccole Bruno, DVM: Even working and living in New York City, I did not see the diversity in the profession that I wanted to pursue. And so I think that can cause barriers for students of color and so I wanted to try to change that by empowering veterinary hospitals to understand their role in pipeline development, and also to create an opportunity for them to learn how to become more inclusive in their culture of vet med by going through training and learning the application of it in vet med.
