In Episode 2 of The Vet Blast Podcast, Dr. Adam Christman and Marie Bucko talk about the impact of COVID-19 on veterinary students, and how veterinary practice will change moving forward
In the second episode of the Vet Blast Podcast, Dr. Adam Christman, DVM, MBA, has a candid conversation with now fourth-year veterinary student and Student American Veterinary Medical Association (SAVMA) President Marie Bucko.
From adjusting to online lectures to interviewing virtually for jobs, students have had to adapt in various ways to the COVID-19 pandemic, Bucko says. But she is grateful that professors have been working hard to provide resources to students to help them overcome these new challenges.
COVID-19 has affected veterinary practice owners and entire veterinary teams on an unprecedented scale. Both Dr. Christman and Marie praise the CDC and AVMA for updating their websites daily with regard to ever-changing rules, regulations, and other virus news to keep both the public and veterinary professionals informed.
