Mentors Are Vital in Veterinary Medicine

Video

Although veterinary medical skills mentorship is available, there is a need for education on compassion fatigue and how to deal with the emotional burden of the profession.

Veterinary medicine can be an isolating profession, explains Carrie Jurney, DVM, DACVIM (Neurology), director of forum moderators for the board of Not One More Vet, Inc. Although medical skills mentorship is available, there is a need for education on compassion fatigue and how to deal with the emotional burden of the profession.

MightyVet, through its partnerships with industry leaders like Not One More Vet, Inc., strives to pair veterinarians, veterinary technicians and veterinary students with experienced industry professionals who have successfully maneuvered through the ups and downs of the industry.

MightyVet has created a program where veterinary professionals can schedule time virtually with its "Mighty Mentors" to talk about compassion fatigue, coping with negative feedback and more.
