Since MightyVet is run by and comprised of veterinarians, Steve Weinrauch, BVMS, MRCVS, the founder of the organization, says he owes it to the veterinary community to give back and support one other. Using the MightVet platform, Weinrauch says he has been able to reach out to CEOs and executives across the veterinary profession, asking them to join the organization to help get their message out.
Veterinary medicine is a community, Carrie Jurney, DVM, DACVIM (Neurology), director of forum moderators for the board of Not One More Vet, Inc., says. Mental health is a whole community problem, she continues, and it's one that we need to work on together.
