National Veterinary Associates (NVA)—a global pet care organization and community—have appointed Tami Majer to chief people officer. Majer will help the NVA invest in people, teams, and culture by attracting the best pet care professionals, business leaders, and veterinarians.

“We are incredibly excited for Tami to join the NVA community. The success of NVA is a direct reflection of our ability to attract and empower great people who share our ‘why’ - for the love of animals and the people who love them - and of our ambition to be the employer of choice in veterinary medicine,” said Greg Hartmann, chief executive officer at NVA, in an organizational release.

“Tami’s understanding of the veterinary profession, global experience and proven track record in building transformative people services teams will be critical as we grow our industry reach,” he continued.

According to the release, Majer is an accomplished human resource leader with more than 20 years of experience. Majer has led human resource roles with Danone North America, Banfield Pet Hospital, and 24 Hour Fitness across the United States and Canada. Because of her capabilities, NVA believes her expertise will be crucial to its expansion.

“As someone deeply passionate about enabling talented teams to do what they do best, I am thrilled to join an organization of mission-driven leaders committed to defining modern pet care and elevating the veterinary profession,” Majer said in the release.

“I am driven by the opportunity to make a positive difference for people at work and look forward to closely collaborating with NVA’s teams across the community to advance the organization’s commitment to servant leadership, empowering teams, and helping our hospitals, people and teams reach their full potential,” she expressed.
