Hosted by Crime Junkie’s Brit Prawat, the show will try and solve the mystery of who stole the cat food
To celebrate the launch of its new TEMPTATIONS Adult Dry Cat Food, Temptations is launching a brand-new podcast Cat a Cat Burglar. It will be hosted by Crime Junkie, a true crime podcast that has hundreds of millions of downloads a year.1 Crime Junkie's co-host Brit Prawat will focus on a fictional crime where a cat stole a truckload full of the new food in this limited series. Listeners are invited to try and solve the crime for a chance to win a prize.
"I've told many true crime stories throughout my career and 'Catch a Cat Burglar' may be the most unique story yet. It's definitely the furriest," said Prawat, in an organizational release.2 "I'm so excited for cat parents and true crime-obsessed fans alike to tune in to this not-so-true, but extremely irresistible investigation, where together, we will leave no litter box unturned to catch the sneaky kitty that just couldn't keep their paws off their favorite TEMPTATIONS Adult Dry Cat Food."
According to the release,2 listeners are invited to try and solve the crime by submitting their guesses on who the culprit is on the Temptations website for a chance to win cat food, treats, swag, and a trip to POP Cats Seattle, a festival of cat, pop, and art. The first episode now available and will reveal the story and clues that point to 6 possible suspects. The podcast will air its final episode on August 31, 2023, where the culprit will be revealed.
"We know that cats can't help but cause a little mayhem when left to their own devices," said Jean-Paul Jansen, senior vice president, marketing, Mars Petcare North America.2 "It's part of their charm, and the idea that cats are so loved for being these unbothered pot-stirrers was the inspiration behind the 'Catch a Cat Burglar' limited series. It's a playful way for us to engage with cat parents and share that the new TEMPTATIONS Dry Cat Food is as irresistible to our mischievous, but adorable feline friends as the TEMPTATIONS treats they already know and love."
Temptations encourages pet parents to share their own feline felon stories on social media using #TemptationsCatchACatBurglar for a chance to be featured on their website or social media channels.
