Ron Mark Estes will be the Fred C. Davison Distinguished University Chair in Veterinary Medicine
Athens, Ga. — Veterinary immunologist and vaccine researcher Don Mark Estes is joining the faculty of the University of Georgia (UGA) College of Medicine.
Estes, who comes off a stint as associate director of research programs for the University of Texas' Sealy Center for Vaccine Development, will be UGA's Fred C. Davison Distinguished University Chair in Veterinary Medicine.
Estes' lab will be located in the college's infectious diseases department. The department head, Fred Quinn, says he expects Estes to improve the university's research reputation and help develop new products and technologies.
