"It's all about you," is a common customer-service mantra these days thanks to a world that lets people post their own videos online, download custom ringtones, and create personalized music playlists. Veterinary practices can get in on the individualized trend by offering clients a choice when it comes to inventory, especially the option to choose eco-friendly pet products.

"Natural and organic products have been slowly gaining popularity over the past few years, mostly in the last year or so.  Just how many clinics are offering eco-friendly products? Almost 25 percent, according to the 2008 Firstline Business Issues Study. And 41 percent of doctors recommend green products, according to the 2008 Veterinary Economics Business Issues Study.
