Columbus, Ohio -Dr. Lonnie King recently was appointed to lead a new Public Health Preparedness for Infectious Diseases (PHPID) program at The Ohio State University.
Columbus, Ohio — Dr. Lonnie King recently was appointed to lead a new Public Health Preparedness for Infectious Diseases (PHPID) program at The Ohio State University (OSU). King also serves as OSU's veterinary college dean and the Ruth Stanton Chair of Veterinary Medicine.
The program is a collaboration between six OSU colleges with more than 150 faculty members working together on common themes in infectious disease.
PHPID currently is investigating topics like livestock diseases in Cameroon and wild bird populations' effect on the spread of avian influenza.
