The first half of the lecture focuses on diagnosing and treating otitis externa. Special focus is placed on the pathophysiology of otitis and how to identify contributing factors. The decision making process for how to choose appropriate therapy is highlighted. The second half of the lecture focuses on diagnosing and treating pyoderma. The lecture will cover different clinical presentations of pyoderma, diagnostics necessary when managing pyoderma, and the multi-faceted treatment strategy.
