Penn Vet breaks ground on new critical care center
Kennett Square, Pa. -- The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine broke ground on its new state-of-the-art James M. Moran Jr. Critical Care Center at Penn Vet's new Bolton Center.

-- The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine broke ground on its new state-of-the-art James M. Moran Jr. Critical Care Center at Penn Vet's new Bolton Center.
The center is named for James Moran, a school benefactor who died in April. The project is being funded by Moran's mother, Elizabeth, and contributions from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
The new building will have two wings, one dedicated to isolation cases and one for colic cases. At 18,540 square feet, it will be the largest addition to the George D. Widener Hospital for Large Animals since the C. Mahlon Kline Orthopaedic Center opened in 1972, according to the college.
