-- The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year.
To commemorate the event, it created a special Web site, which highlights the history of the school's veterinary program, features faculty and alumni profiles and news clippings from the past, including an 1893 article about the opening of a "dog hospital." An 1885 article notes the first patients at the school's new veterinary hospital were a lame mare and a Golden Setter that presented in "a dropsicle condition."The Web site also recognizes some of the school's leading donors and alumni, and provides a timeline of memorable event.
