Julie Reck, DVM, founder and owner of the Veterinary Medical Center of Fort Mill, South Carolina, says she can't go a day in her veterinary practice without pheromones.

Dr. Reck also expresses how beneficial it is to layer the pheromones, both in the air and directly in patient contact. She says you should can take inexpensive fabrics and cut out bandanas, spray them with Adaptil and give them to patients. For cats specifically, Dr. Reck says using Feliway on a towel really helps. She says she used to see 20% of cats willingly come out of their carriers, now it's 75-80% after incorporating pheromones into the visit.
