As the only AAHA-accredited bird and exotic animal hospital in the state of New York, Dr. Hess knew that the Veterinary Center for Birds and Exotics had to earn a reputation as the go-to place for exotic pet owners. So as the construction wound down, Dr. Hess got to work putting the word out about her services. In time, she’d learn whether all her work would pay off.
