Purdue plans online hub for human-animal bond studies
Lafayette, Ind. - Early next year, the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine, in collaboration with the Purdue University Press, will launch a website, called HABRI Central, to further the study of the human-animal bond.
LAFAYETTE, IND. — Early next year, the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine, in collaboration with the Purdue University Press, will launch a website, called HABRI Central, to further the study of the human-animal bond.
Named for the Human Animal Bond Research Initiative (HABRI), which funded the project, the site is meant to be a central location on human-animal bond studies by serving as a repository of scholarly information, an online publisher for peer-reviewed content and a virtual community for those studying the human-animal bond.
The site will be built on the HUBzero platform for scientific collaboration and will be overseen by Dr. Alan Beck, director of the Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine's Center for the Human-Animal Bond.
