Recognizing Urinary Incontinence in Aging Pets

"If a pet has urinary incontinence, sometimes it might just be a little bit of staining in the bed, but sometimes it can become quite significant.

If the pet is wetting the bed, and then if this gets worse and there's urine staining and irritation and odors and everything else, that's a pet the family won't be as pleased to be around. So, it's important to let them know that mild cases, again mild changes, are the time when we need to make some kind of intervention to try to make the pet as comfortable as possible, as healthy as possible, and as much a part of the family as possible."
