Tracy Dowdy, CVPM, managing director of MRG Consulting and founder of the Relationship Centered Practice Academy, explains why it's important for veterinary practice to hold weekly meetings.

Communication needs to be open, transparent, inclusive and rapid in any business, Dowdy says. Veterinarians work in such a fragmented industry where they don't have a roadmap on how to run their practices or train their team, so these weekly meetings can be spent on figuring that out. Weekly meetings should be spent rejuvenating your practice culture, Dowdy says, and creating an open line of communication.
