Years ago, when a pet owner’s reptile was sick, they would take it back to the pet store where it was purchased. Doug Mader, MS, DVM, DABVP (C/F, R/A), DECZM (Herpetology), owner of Marathon Veterinary Hospital in Florida, explains that today, pet owners turn to Dr. Google to find out what is wrong with their pet reptile. But unfortunately, by the time the owners get to the veterinarian, it may be too late.
