In an interview with Darcy Adin, DVM, DACVIM (Cardiology), she explains the research she was a part of looking at how the the renin‐angiotensin‐aldosterone system (RAAS) can work in conjunction with dogs with heartworm disease. Darcy Adin, DVM, DACVIM (Cardiology): We were interested in the RAAS cascade, it's not all bad, there's actually a good arm to it. And as I mentioned earlier, if we can modulate and kind of look at whether the good things can be enhanced and the bad things can be surpressed.
