In a newly released parody of “The Bachelor,” Stewart is looking for love and commitment in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Stewart the dog, that is.
When looking to adopt a four-legged companion, people are really searching for a soulmate of sorts. An animal shelter in Santa Fe, New Mexico has capitalized on this fact with a brief but brilliant parody of “The Bachelor” TV show.
Instead of using an available man, the Sante Fe Animal Shelter employs an adorably adoptable dog named Stewart who is available and looking for a committed relationship.
The video takes the viewer through an episode chock full of drama, tears, insults and, of course, infamous the two-on-one date. Most of the lady love interests in the video are played by shelter employees.
The shelter released video teasers on YouTube last week leading up to the ultimate day of love—Valentine’s Day—when they dropped the full video.
The #AdoptABachelor video is one unique tool the shelter is using to let the public know that it is currently accepting adoption applications for 2017.
While Stewart may have already found the love of his life with the help of the video, the video lets everyone know that there are plenty more furry bachelors (and bachelorettes) waiting for love back at the shelter.
