Schwarzman AMC to introduce first-ever Veterinary Assistant Appreciation Week
This inaugural celebration will take place from February 14th through February 18th, and the organization encourages practices to display their appreciation for veterinary assistants on social media.
The Stephen & Christine Schwarzman Animal Medical Center (AMC) plans to launch the first-ever Veterinary Assistant Appreciation Week from February 14, 2022 to February 18, 2022 to honor and recognize veterinary assistants’ important contributions.
“The Schwarzman AMC’s Veterinary Assistants tackle their work with focus and compassion, and always have their patients’ best interests in mind. Their expertise and dedication to animals make our hospital run more efficiently,” said Jaclyn Mavros LVT, chief veterinary technician at Schwarzman AMC, in an organizational release.
“This recognition is long overdue and more important now than ever. Veterinary Assistant Appreciation Week is an opportunity to celebrate the essential work performed by our Assistants,” she added.
To unite the veterinary community on Valentine’s Day, the Schwarzman AMC encourages clinics nationwide to share on social media why they love their assistants using the hashtag #VetAssistantWeek.
What’s more, the Schwarzman AMC will acknowledge veterinary assistants during the week with appreciation meals, snacks, apparel, gift cards, raffle prizes, and themed celebrations, according to the release. Additionally, they will display a presentation spotlighting the various talents, passions, and hobbies that make AMC’s assistants valued members.
“The Schwarzman AMC Veterinary Assistants play a key role in coordinating patient care,” said Kathryn Coyne, president and CEO at Schwarzman AMC.
“On behalf of our colleagues and clients I want to thank our Veterinary Assistants for their unwavering commitment to providing the best care for animals and for their contributions to healthy patient outcomes,” she concluded.
