Sonja Olson, DVM: As we look around the world, [veterinary] communities are really taking note and stepping in and getting courageous about the not knowing, but also borrowing knowledge from other industries outside of vet med and say, 'what do we already know?' So we're getting vocabulary from our human medical compadres. Things such as moral distress and ethical conflict. We're getting better at our vocabulary and discerning, that's useful.
