Take five
A few minutes per appointment can save you a lot at the end of the day.
If you wait to complete patients' charts and paperwork until after your last appointment of the day, you probably end up working well past closing time. Wouldn't you rather make it home for dinner with the fam? Consider extending each appointment slot by five minutes so you have time to wrap up paperwork on the spot. You'll still see the same number of patients a day, but you'll get to go home an hour earlier. Need another reason to make the change? You're more likely to capture all charges, helping to boost your practice's bottom line.
